"The first RM1 feels impossible."

People love talking about six-figure businesses.

Seven-figure founders. Eight-figure exits.

Very few people talk about the first RM1.

That first customer who trusted you when nobody else knew your name.
The first invoice you nervously sent.
The first payment notification that made you refresh your banking app three times because you could not believe it.

It seems so small now.

But back then, it meant everything.

Because it proved one thing.

A stranger believed your work was worth paying for.

Every successful business has this moment.

Just one customer saying yes.

Sometimes we become so obsessed with the next milestone that we forget how difficult the previous one actually was.

If you are still chasing your first sale, keep going.

If you are already years into your journey, remember what it felt like when someone took a chance on you.

That feeling should never disappear.

It should remind us to stay humble.

And perhaps, to become the kind of business that gives someone else their first opportunity, too.

Do you still remember your very first customer?

The best networkers do not start by asking.

They start by giving.

Not because they are expecting something in return.

Not because they are trying to look generous.

But because real relationships are built through value.

Sometimes, giving is not about money.

It can be your time.

Your effort.

Your advice.

Your friendship.

Sometimes, it is simply giving someone your listening ear when they need to be heard.

That is what people remember.

Not the person who only shows up when they need something.

But the person who was willing to contribute first.

In business, networking is often treated like a transaction.

But the strongest networks are usually built through trust, consistency and generosity.

Before asking what others can do for us, maybe the better question is this.

What are we willing to give first?

You can make money alone.

Building something meaningful alone is much harder.

Many entrepreneurs start by themselves.
One laptop. One phone. One person wearing ten different hats.

Sales in the morning.
Operations in the afternoon.
Customer service at night.

For a while, it works. Then the business grows. And suddenly, you hit a ceiling.

Not because the opportunity is not there.

Because your capacity is not.

There are only so many hours in a day.

Only so many decisions your brain can make before it gets tired.

That is when you learn one of the hardest lessons in business.
You cannot scale yourself. At some point, growth becomes a team sport.

You need people who are better than you at certain things.

People who challenge your thinking.
People who catch mistakes you missed.
People who believe in the mission enough to help carry it.

For many founders, this is uncomfortable.

After all, nobody will care as much as you do. That part is true.

But that does not mean others cannot care enough.

The best businesses are rarely built by one brilliant individual.

They are built by groups of people moving towards the same destination.

Maybe the real question is not whether you can do it alone.

It is whether you should.
