A huge congratulations to Sakina Rashid on winning the King’s College London, European Law Student’s Association (KCL ELSA) Legal Essay Competition! 🎉

Her essay “Whipping Justice into Shape: A Debate on Corporal Punishment”, explored the ethical implications of the death penalty and its alternatives in relation to human rights principles.

Sakina, an alum of AKAM, is a first year law LLB student at King’s College London. In her first year, she has been involved in various projects and positions including being the first year representative for the KCL Bar & Mooting Society, being KCL Brand Ambassador and Communications Promotions Officer for LawTalkToday, is the Socities Liason of KCL SolidariTee, a non-profit organisation dedicated to raising funds for the legal fees of refugees needing aid and is co-hosting a legal podcast- ‘Legally Loud’. ⚖️
