I wasn't fully prepared for last Ramadan, to be honest. With everything going on, I relied mostly on vibes and In sha Allah.

Just a day before Ramadan, I received an interview invitation in Lagos while I was in Kano. I considered flying but my account balance didn't align with the flight cost. Since I prefer not to ask for funds, I didn't pursue that option.

I planned to leave for Abuja the night before Ramadan, but circumstances prevented me from doing so. To keep it brief, I ended up embarking on the journey to Abuja on the first day of Ramadan.

During the journey, I faced challenges, including a close encounter with a tanker and injuring my leg. Despite the setbacks, I persisted and managed to make it to the interview in Ọgba, Lagos, albeit a bit late.

Despite the initial difficulties, I eventually secured the job, which was a relief during a financially tight period. However, I also experienced internal struggles and felt overwhelmed with death threats internally.

Over time, these feelings subsided, and I found solace in prayer, particularly during sujud. I also faced disappointment when my former employer didn't fulfill their promise of a salary increase.

Throughout Ramadan, I found support from my family, especially my aunt and cousins, who made me feel loved and not alone in my fasting journey.

Despite facing various challenges, including a failed relationship, a low-paying job, and health issues like acne, I persevered through Ramadan with gratitude, saying Alhamdulilah ala kulli halin.

In addition to the support from loved ones, I found comfort in making Duas, which helped me navigate through tough times when words failed me.

Lastly, I tried Sọọlẹ for the first time in Lagos, adding a memorable experience to my Ramadan journey.
