UPDATE: IT HAS BEEN CONFIRMED WHY VDM WAS ARRESTED

The warrant for the arrest of VDM was issued by court in the morning of Wednesday, April 30th. So, GTB has no hand in it. In fact, they would have arrested him on Thursday, but it was a public holiday.

They were still planning on how to arrest him on Friday. They were not sure where he would be. But luckily to them, that Thursday, VDM announced that he was going to be at a GTB bank. The EFCC spread themselves in three branches of GTB where they believed he would be. But there were more than 7 branches. So, they chose the three most popular branches. They had figured that VDM would like to make video for social content and therefore he would likely go to a popular branch. They guessed right. He went to one of those three branches.
