A Henry Omoregie Initiative to track President Goodluck Jonathan's Administration: Follow me on twitter @henryomoregie

20/10/2025

The first and major critics of Jonathan came from Yoruba elites; Tunde Bakare, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, Prof. Wole Soyinka, Asiwaju, Alafin, Oba of Lagos, and other prominent Yorubas. They led protests against the ex-President.
All bcoz, fuel pump price moved from N85 to N97; bag of rice moved from N3,800 to N4,500; Cement moved from N1,100 to N1,400, few others.
But today, those Yorubas who knocked Jonathan for just little increase in prices of items, are now saturated with the current hectic situations of the Nigerian environments. They now tell you that, Asiwaju is doing well, just bcos there's an unending ethnocentrism in Yoruba land. The same fuel you protested against when it rose by just N12, you now happily buy it at N1K.
Let's call a spade, a spade. This is politics of sabotage and Tribalism.
