I will like to remind all MDAs and Audit firms that reporting system on IPSAS accrual basis especially for those parastatals that are used to prepare audited account and submit at the end of the year. You are to report monthly to accountant general for the Federation based on the reporting platform from accountant general.
Audit Firms that are used to former methods will be dissapointed. Knowledge is power. Treatment of some items such as donations from third party must be disclosed.
The lecturers in Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria should key in otherwise they will be producing unemployable graduates. Lecturers do not give what they don't have. The new development in accounting profession such as TSA Ipsas ippis gifmis must be familiar with. There are some terms that many can not explain it to a layman. For example;
1.impairment
2. Fair Value.
3. Non current asset
4. Treatment of non exchange transaction.
5. Treatment of research and development
6.Treatment of Donation
