The Authorities of Fountain University have officially released the approved minimum admissible UTME scores for candidates seeking admission into the institution for the 2026/2027 academic session.

Prospective candidates who selected Fountain University as their preferred institution, or those intending to effect a change of institution, are advised to carefully review the approved departmental cut-off marks and ensure they meet the requirements for their intended courses of study.

This is to inform the general public that registration for the 2026/2027 academic session
Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (Post-UTME)/Direct Entry Screening of Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, (AE-FUNAI), Ebonyi State, shall commence on Monday, 25th May, 2026 and end on Tuesday, 30th June, 2026.
Interested candidates who must have scored 𝟭𝟱𝟬 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘃𝗲 in the 2026 UTME and who made Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi State their first choice institution in their application for admission in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) are qualified to apply. However, candidates are advised to check the minimum UTME screening score for the respective programmes listed below to guide their choices.
Prospective candidates who did not choose AE-FUNAI as their first choice institution but wish to study in AE-FUNAI are eligible to apply for PUTME screening. However, such candidates MUST effect Change of Institution/Course to AE-FUNAI on the JAMB Portal on or before Tuesday, 30th June, 2026.

· Candidates should be guided by the UTME and O’level subject requirements as are available on the University website.

1. Prospective candidates who may wish to register for the Post-UTME through the
AE-FUNAI ICT Centres, should visit the:
University CBT Centre at Zone A in the University Campus
OR
Centre for Educational Services (JUPEB/Pre-Degree School),
Aguogboriga Estate, Abakaliki.

2. During registration, candidates are advised to use GSM numbers that are easily accessible to them. This is important for fast and easy communication.
Candidates should note that at any point of the screening and admission exercise, if any false information is discovered, such candidate’s application would automatically be disqualified.

Proceed to make payment by making a transfer of the complete amount to the given account number
Click ‘I have made payment’ after transferring the complete amount to proceed to registration
Visit your email to confirm registration acknowledgement.
The screening mode for the 2026/2027 academic session PUTME shall be through the process of internal screening of candidates’ results.
All candidates are requested to ensure that their O/Level and Direct Entry results are uploaded on JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) on or before Tuesday, 30th June, 2026. Any PUTME application without O’level/ A level result upload on JAMB CAPS will not be processe.

JAMB RELEASES 279 UTME RESULTS PREVIOUSLY HELD FOR INVESTIGATION

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released 279 results from those previously held for further investigation. This is in addition to the results earlier released by the Board.

The release follows ongoing investigations into cases of suspected examination malpractice. While some results have been outrightly cancelled where evidence of malpractice was established, others have been released where the Board found no prima facie case against the affected candidates.

Results from centres where the Board’s live monitoring team observed suspicious activities, or where adverse reports were received, remain withheld pending further investigation. Where sufficient evidence of culpability is established, such results will be cancelled.

Candidates whose results have not yet been released are advised to check their status by sending UTMERESULT to 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number used for registration to view their released results.

The Incoming Registrar: Segun Aina is a 39-year-old Professor of Computer Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife. He brings extensive expertise in digital infrastructure and national examination systems

President Bola Tinubu has appointed Professor Segun Aina as the new Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). He will succeed the outgoing Registrar, Professor Is-haq Oloyede, whose highly successful 10-year tenure officially ends on July 31, 2026.
