Sweet but colorful

Life is so private nobody knows I visited a clinic to run a blood test. Fast forward to when the results came out, I read "blood cancer" on the paper.

My heart started pounding fast.

I told myself to calm down first.

I handed the results back to the nurse and said "it's not mine"

"Please run the test again" I said gently.

"But is your name not Miracle Adishi?" The nurse asked.

"It may be my name, but that's not my result"

"Okay, we would run the test, please meet the receptionist to make payment to run the test again"

I did so and later came back in the evening.

The nurse saw me walking into the clinic "You're Miss Miracle Adishi right?"

"Yes, I am" I replied quickly.

"My sincere apologies, I gave you the wrong results. It was a mistake on our part. We checked and it was said that your name tag was placed on another person's blood sample. My sincere apologies again"

"Here are your original results"

"To show how remorseful we are, we would refund the fee you paid for the second test"

I held my results, closed my eyes and sighed.
