Do God Need A Mother?
Yes. God inevitably need a mother since he will and was set to redeem mankind. Being a spirit, he can not redeem man as a spirit but have to become man to redeem man. Just as Paul wrote "he was born the subject of the law to redeem the subjects of the law". And in Hebrew 10:5 we hear Jesus saying "sacrifice and offering you do not desire and yet you have prepared me a body". And to become man, he had to be biologically cm divine, born of a woman who definitely will be his mother.
HOW Can Mary Be The Mother Of Her Creator?
Some argue as to how possible can a creature be the mother of her creator? In arguing this, they fall into a grave error; the error of making Jesus only man and not God. Since Jesus Christ is God, then the mother of Jesus is the mother of God. The most commonest and simplest syllogism in arriving at Mary being mother of God is that. Mary is the mother of Jesus,.Jesus is God.. therefor Mary is the mother of God.
Mary is undeniably the mother of God as Jesus is undeniably God. Any attempt to deny Mary as the mother of God is an attempt to deny Jesus as God. The church in her wisdom and knowledge of this call her "theotokos" meaning mother of God.
Bible Foretold Mary Being Mother Of God.
Isaiah said to Ahaz, behold a virgin shall conceive and bear a son and he shall be called Emmanuel which means "God with us". By implication, the Virgin will be the mother of God with us.
