BREAKING: Anambra Recovers 10 Oil Wells.

Anambra State has successfully reclaimed 10 oil wells that were previously credited to Delta State because of boundary disputes.

According to Professor Charles Ofoegbu, Managing Director of the Anambra State Solid Mineral Development Company and Chairman of Anambra State Petroleum Energy Resources Limited, a verification by the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) confirmed that the wells rightly belong to Anambra.

Once the report is officially approved, Anambra will start receiving revenue from these oil wells along its maritime boundary with Delta State, boosting the state’s 13% oil derivation revenue from the Federal Government.

The government is also planning a modular refinery in Osamala, Ogbaru LGA, which will refine petroleum and diesel, create jobs, and increase economic growth across the state.

This is a major win for Anambra’s economy and development.
