celebrate the beacon of light
should listen to the chants that
brew like wine from the factory of my heart.

O, chief chanter of the tribe of verses,
sing for us the scathing songs of true service,
and let the nation be mopped again
of the skin that smears the light of hope.

Lift your feet, Baba.
The day is ripe with the steps
of those who’re ready to pay homage
at the doorstep of Mr Civil Service.

To pay homage, and listen to the voice of reason,
so they can sip raw wisdom
from the walking fountain of knowledge.
To listen to the voice
that’s always been at the doorstep
to represent our land, and bring glory home.

Today, we come to you as an army of birds
that never misses the way home.
We come as water, as the delight
that swaddles ancient philosophers
that know where to go in search of aged wisdom.

You’re the metal that drips fire,
the anvil that shapes the tribe of service,
the door that opens for those who understand the rituals of community development.

O, sons of my mother land,
let’s bend our knees for a sailor always present at the dock of the land.
Let’s bow to a name that was
once a signature of the whole Wazobia Nation.
Let’s pay tribute to a persona
that’ll remain deathless in the heart rob of history.
Let’s say Gracias to the sun
that keeps shining light on the Guddiri soil even after sunset.

May your feet remain unperturbed
