HND – BACHELOR OF NURSING SCIENCE DEGREE CONVERSION

HND-BSc conversion programs, also known as top-up programs, is a recently introduced program that allow holders of a Higher National Diploma (HND) to upgrade their degree to a Bachelor of Science (BSc):

With the introduction of HND-Bachelor degree conversion program or NBTE a year top-up Programme.

As a registered Nurse holding HND certificate, you can now earn a degree certificate in Nursing within two years from Nigerian university or within one year via NBTE program.

As we all know that we have three ways to further your Nursing education as a HND Nursing certificate holder, which are

✅A year post graduate diploma(off) in Nursing then you can proceed with your masters.

✅Two years HND –Bsc degree conversion program or a year top up program then proceed with your masters

✅And Jamb DE into University or through distance learning.

Back to the second option which is the HND conversion

Currently, there are presently few universities that run the HND Nursing to Bachelor of Nursing Science degree conversion program

Some of the universities are: University of Abuja, where I attached a screenshot of the program from their application portal and some few others.

Again, NBTE also introduced One-Year Top-Up Program which is run online within a year to convert your HND to Bachelor degree.

You see, information is power, most of you, if not 80% of you don't know such exists. Even most of the Registrar of some schools that run ND/HND Nursing are not aware of this.

As the head of your school, you can use this article to educate your students.
