DIRECTOR OF WELFARE GIVES ADVICE TO STUDENTS AFTER ANOTHER EMERGENCY TODAY.

Earlier today, the SUG Director of Welfare, Comrade Adagbor Destiny Elite, and members of his welfare team were forced, yet again, to inconveniently leave their exams and other schedule for the day, to rush a Malabresses who fell critically ill, from Hall 8 to the school's medical center.

To this effect, the Director of Welfare has expressed his dismay over the reoccurring encumbrance he faces whenever he rushes students to the medical center.
He emphasises that most students don't do their registration at the school's medical center, which poses as a challenge in getting them admitted in cases of emergency.

In turn, he strongly advises students to endeavor to register at the medical center, obtain their card and also ensure to go for check-up whenever they experience any symptoms of illness as they will get treated free of charge. He further betones that student should not wait till their sickness gets critical, before they take actions against it, so as to avoid ugly and unprecedented incidents.

IN RESPONSE TO THE HIKE IN PRICE OF SACHET WATER ON CAMPUS

Having keenly observed, for some time now, the hike in price of goods and commodities on campus, especially the price of sachet water, and having carried out meticulously, the needed investigations, the Director of Welfare, Comrade Adagbor Destiny Elite, frowns greatly at this act.

In his words, the Director of Welfare describes it as "unnecessary and extortive" for vendors to sell sachet water at the rate of ₦20, and thereby, by this press release, directs all and sundry, Malabites, Malabresses, stakeholders and everyone concerned that sachet water should not be bought at ₦20.
He further sounds this as a note of warning to all vendors selling sachet water at the rate of ₦20, to desist from it immediately as the Director of Welfare and his Taskforce team will, from Monday 15th March 2021, be going round the University community on a strict inspection exercise and anyone found defaulting this rule will be prosecuted accordingly.

He further informs that the Director of Welfare and the entire Students' Union Government executive body, condemns in totality, the hike in price of goods and commodities in the University and guarantees that every commodity will be regulated very soon to ensure that it serves to best interest of Nigerian students.
