Day One
On the first day of the festival, the Executive Chairman of Bakassi LGA, Otuekong Hon. Effiong Etim Okon, flagged off the festival with a symbolic activity to signal the commencement of fishing activities for the festival.
Participants of this send forth are expected to return the following for the grand finale and fishing competition where they present their biggest catch for the day.
