Our attention has been drawn to a purported campaign flag-off message currently circulating on social media and attributed to Senator Eteng Jonah Williams, representing Cross River Central Senatorial District.

We wish to categorically state that Senator Eteng Williams has neither authorized nor approved any campaign launch, campaign flag-off statement, nor any form of electioneering communication at this time.

As a loyal and committed member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Williams remains fully guided by the constitution, rules, and timetable of our great party. It is important to note that the APC has not concluded its internal processes nor released the official list of candidates for the forthcoming elections.

Consequently, any publication, statement, or message suggesting the commencement of campaign activities on behalf of Senator Eteng Williams should be disregarded by the public and party faithful.

We therefore urge all supporters, stakeholders, and members of the APC across Cross River Central Senatorial District to remain calm, patient, and law-abiding while awaiting the conclusion of the party’s processes and the official directives of the APC National Leadership.

Senator Eteng Williams remains deeply grateful for the overwhelming support, goodwill, and confidence reposed in him by the people of Cross River Central. He remains committed to serving the district with dedication and will continue to communicate with the public through his authorized channels.
