I LEFT CHURCH BECAUSE OF WHAT THEY DID TO ME IN CHURCH 😔
I was hurt. I was betrayed. I was disappointed.
There're many out there saying and acting on that as we speak.
But listen carefully…
If you have never been hurt in church, then maybe you have never truly been around people in church.
The church is like a hospital. Not every patient in the hospital responds to treatment immediately. Some are healing. Some are still broken. Some are still struggling with anger, jealousy, pride, gossip, offense, and pain.
In the same way, there are people in church who are still growing, still healing and still learning Christ.
Hurt can happen in church. Pain can happen in church. Offenses can happen in church.
Jesus Himself said
“...It is impossible but that offences will come...” Luke 17:1
And He also said
“And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.” Matthew 11:6
Don’t allow what people did to you make you abandon God completely.
Yes, if a particular church environment becomes toxic, threatening, abusive, or unhealthy for your spiritual life, it is okay to leave that church and find another Bible believing and practicing church where you can grow in peace and truth.
But don’t leave God because of people.
Because the Bible says:
“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is…” Hebrews 10:25
THE TRUTH IS THIS Church did not die for you. People did not save you. JESUS did.
Keep your eyes on Christ, not on imperfect people.
There are fake people in hospitals too, yet when you are sick, you still go for treatment.
Don’t let temporary pain disconnect you from your spiritual covering, your fellowship, and your growth in God.
HEAL FORGIVE GROW AND KEEP FOLLOWING JESUS. YOU'RE LOVED ❤️
