Body types🏋️🏋️‍♀️🏋️‍♂️ are also known as somatotypes and they refer to the three generalized body compositions that people are predetermined to have.
It is very important for us to know our body types because does it affect our diet and attempt to lose weight?
It is important to first of all know the most basic thing about body composition👌👌👌.
That our bodies are made up of 60% water💦💦💦. The rest is muscle💪 and fat🥓. Let’s not go into the scientific details of the cells, tissues and organs.
Let’s just reach a common ground that it’s basically water, muscle and fat.
So we all have that equal percentage of water💧💧💧. Now, what’s sets each of us apart is the variation in muscle and fat. Women👧 obviously have more fat than men👨, and men on the other hand, tend to have more muscle bulk💪💪💪.
So, the varying amounts of fat and muscle is where the ‘body types’ phenomenon comes in and it primarily due to genetics.
Basically, there are 3 main body types. This classification was done by a man named Herbert Sheldon in the 1940s. And they include:

👗Ectomorphs (a.k.a. 'Lepa-shandiis')

👗Mesomorphs (a.k.a. 'Lucky genes')
and

👗Endomorphs (a.k.a. 'Orobo-machine gun😜)
👩An ECTOMORPH is your typical ‘thin’ lady. They have long, slim and thin limbs🦵🦵🦵, small muscles and find it difficult to build muscle mass.
They are naturally thin and have trouble gaining weight. They are typically those slim girls that can eat a whole ‘mountain’ of food and still be as tiny as a broom😠😠😠 (i.e. ‘hard gainers’).

🧑 Mesomorphs are the medium-framed women. They naturally have a strong and fit appearance even if they don’t exercise regularly.
They are those I’ll refer to as lucky and blessed with good genes!🤩 They seldom experience significant weight gain.

👩‍🦱 ENDOMORPHS A.k.a.The curvy ladies club😋. They are typically full-bodied👗👗👗, have larger bones, wider waists and are predisposed to storing fat instead of building muscle.
They gain weight easily and tend to lose it slowly.
