Ilora-born Nigerian footballer Akintola Babajide David’s club, Hull City, has been promoted to the English Premier League after defeating Middlesbrough in the Championship play-off final today at Wembley Stadium.
Hull City will be among the clubs playing in the Premier League next season.

Ilora Honours Her Own at the University of Ibadan's 612th Inaugural Lecture

A few weeks ago, HRM Oba Stephen Oyeniyi Oparinde II, the Akibio of Iloraland and Deputy Chairman of the Oyo State Council of Obas and Chiefs, attended the University of Ibadan's 612th Inaugural Lecture alongside prominent Chiefs and the Executive Members of the Ilora Development Association.
The lecture was delivered by Prof. Joshua Oluwatoyin Adeleke, an Ilora-born scholar and Professor of Mathematics Education and Evaluation, from Alagba Dosunmu's Compound.
