"I went to buy bread near my campus this morning… but what happened inside that small supermarket almost made me forget why I entered there." πŸ˜‚

This morning, I entered a small supermarket close to school to buy bread. Simple mission: buy bread and leave.

Immediately I entered, two girls walked in. One stood at the entrance while the other came close to the bread section where I was standing.

She picked one bread and asked, "How much is this?"

The seller replied, "₦2,000."

Immediately she shouted, "Babe, it's ₦2,000!"

Omo, I froze. πŸ˜‚ I looked around because at that moment, I was the only guy inside the shop.

Then the other girl responded, "Sweetheart, it's too expensive. Check another bread."

At this point, my brain started asking questions.

"Who is this babe they are talking about?"

"Who is the sweetheart?"

"Did I enter the wrong shop?" πŸ˜‚

She picked another bread.

"How much is this one?"

"₦1,800."

She nodded seriously and said, "Let me go and ask my love."

Omo, I looked around again. No man anywhere. Just the two of them.

I was seriously confused.

Then she walked straight to her friend.

The friend brought out her ATM card and told her to pay.

That was when I forgot the reason I came to the shop. I was just standing there trying to understand what was happening. πŸ˜‚

As they were about to leave, one of them looked at my hand and said, "I like your hand chain."

Before I could even reply, she came close and wanted to touch it.

Omo, fear catch me.

I shouted, "Abeg don't come close to me, I will slap you!" πŸ˜‚

She became angry and started saying different things to me.

But honestly, I was already confused. I didn't even know if I should apologize or just leave.

Then she turned to her friend and said, "Sweetheart, let's get out of here."

The next thing I saw shocked me.

They held hands and walked away together.

I just stood there looking confused.

Immediately, I looked at the woman selling bread. Luckily, our eyes met and she started laughing.

I asked her, "Mummy, what is happening?"

She smiled and said, "I know them. That's how they behave."

Omo, I carried my bread and left.

But till now, one question is still disturbing me...

What exactly did I witness this morning? πŸ˜‚

Because I have entered supermarket many times, but this one...

Na my first time seeing something like this.

As a correct Nigerian student, I no wan use my opportunity collect nonsense.

After all the stress...

Everything else disappear one after another.

This is so heartbreaking. A young girl is out in this heavy rain with her baby on her back, selling donuts that worth not more than $100 Liberian dollars.

Why this country is so hard? No opportunities to empower the young people.
