At the end of life, the soul discovers that all its wanderings were a search for God, all its deepest joys were glimpses of His love, and all its fears of death were shadows cast by a longing for eternity.

Three Hearts. One invitation.

The Sacred Heart of Jesus teaches us to love.
The Immaculate Heart of Mary teaches us to trust.
The Most Chaste Heart of St. Joseph teaches us to remain faithful.

As these special feast days draw near, let us place our families, our worries, and our future in their loving care.

❤️ Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, I place my trust in You.

MYSTERIUM CORPORIS CHRISTI

Before the fields of Eden knew the plough,
Before the wheat bent low before the wind,
The Father's wisdom had already seen
The Bread by which the world would live.

For hunger entered with the fall,
And every empty hand became a sign
Of a deeper famine hidden in the soul—
A longing no earthly harvest could fulfill.

Then through the centuries He scattered shadows.

Melchizedek came,
A king without recorded dawn or dusk,
Bearing bread and wine
Before the father of nations.

In Egypt's night the lamb was slain,
Its blood a shelter from destruction;
And Israel, nourished by the sacrifice,
Journeyed toward the promised land.

When the desert stretched its endless silence,
Manna descended with the morning dew,
Bread not fashioned by human hands,
A mystery gathered beneath the rising sun.

Yet every sign pointed beyond itself.

For the true Bread had not yet come.

Then the Eternal Word took flesh,
The Creator entered His creation,
And He who fed the stars with light
Hungered beside the roads of Galilee.

He multiplied loaves in the wilderness,
Not merely to satisfy the crowd,
But to awaken in their hearts
The memory of a greater feast.

"I am the Bread of Life,"
He declared,
And many turned away,
For mystery often exceeds understanding.

Then came the night
When heaven bent low over an upper room.

Bread rested in His sacred hands.
The same hands that shaped the seas,
The same hands that opened blind eyes,
The same hands soon to be pierced.

He blessed.
He broke.
He gave.

And eternity entered time through simple elements.

"This is My Body."

Not a symbol alone,
Not a distant remembrance,
But the Gift Himself—
Hidden beneath the veil of bread.

The chalice followed.

The wine became the Blood
Of the covenant foretold by prophets,
The Blood that would speak
A stronger word than Abel's cry.

The next day Calvary rose.

The altar became a Cross.
The priest became the victim.
The sacrifice became complete.

Yet death could not consume
The One who is Life itself.

And so the sacrifice remains,
Not repeated,
But eternally present,
Flowing through the ages
Like a river from the side of Christ.

At every altar
The ancient miracle unfolds.

The eye perceives bread.
Faith beholds a King.

Reason measures appearances;
Love falls in adoration.

The substance changes,
The accidents remain,
And finite language stands silent
Before infinite mercy.

Here the Creator becomes food
For His creatures.

The Infinite enters the finite.
The Holy enters the broken.
The Eternal hides within time.

What greater humility could God reveal?

The seraphim veil their faces,
Yet mortal lips receive
The Lord whom angels worship.

The heavens cannot contain Him,
Yet He rests upon the tongue
Of the faithful.

O wondrous exchange!

The Bread does not become us;
We become what we receive.

The Body of Christ
Gathering the Body of Christ,
Until every soul is drawn
Into the life of the Trinity.

And when the final liturgy is sung,
When faith yields to sight,
And every earthly tabernacle is surpassed,
The Eucharistic Lord shall stand unveiled.

Then the hidden Host shall be revealed
As the Lamb upon the throne.

And those nourished by heavenly Bread
Shall hunger no more.

For the Feast begun in mystery
Shall blossom into glory,
And the Bread of pilgrims
Shall become the joy of saints forever.

O Corpus Christi,
Veiled Majesty,
Living Bread,
Sacred Banquet,
Eternal Sacrifice,
And Food of Immortality

To You be adoration,
Through all generations,
Until time is gathered into eternity,
And eternity into God.
