Nigeria Lagos

In celebration of Ramadan, the Stampout Drug Abuse Initiative partnered with the Muslim for Family Development and Advancement Initiative to host a drug education seminar for students from eight public schools in Lagos State. The event featured interactive debates, educational films, and a distribution of Truth about Drugs booklets to participants. Attended by teachers and representatives from the Lagos State Ministry of Education, the seminar successfully rewarded high-achieving students for their knowledge of substance abuse prevention.

Cameroon

The Lesley Foundation delivered a high-energy "Truth About Drugs" awareness campaign at a Secondary School, reaching over 500 students. The presentation focused on the importance of staying sharp and protecting personal goals through informed, healthy choices. By fostering an honest and active dialogue with both staff and students, the foundation successfully reinforced the message that a drug-free life is a cornerstone of future success.

Uganda, Lira

A Senior Ambassador for Drug-Free World from AIDO Lira organized a drug prevention seminar in Barapwo, near Lira University. In collaboration with the area chairperson, the event reached 300 attendees, including 100 students from a Primary School. The session focused on "The Truth About Drugs," specifically addressing high local alcohol consumption and its impact on human health. The outreach led to powerful personal breakthroughs, with several youths publically committing to live drug-free lives. To further the message, the campaign was featured for two hours on the Voice of Lango radio program, reaching an additional 2,000 listeners across the region.

Zimbabwe, CID Drugs and Narcotics Division

The CID Drugs and Narcotics division of the Zimbabwe Republic Police is very active executing Drug-Free World campaigns, reaching over 10,000 individuals across the country at the Zimbabwe Agricultural Show in Harare, engaging 5,000 attendees, followed by a targeted awareness campaign in Norton that reached 2,000 people, with a high-impact presence at the Sanganai/Hlanganani Tourism Expo in Mutare, where an additional 3,000 people were educated on drug prevention, not to mention the schools they are educating many pupils about the dangers of drugs. These combined efforts demonstrate a robust commitment to national substance abuse education and community outreach.

During the broadcast, the guest showcased LESPADA’s multifaceted intervention strategies—including prevention, professional counseling, and community sensitization—aimed at reducing substance abuse and providing essential support to vulnerable women and their families.
