Topic: Your Words, Your Value

Text: Proverbs 10:20 (MSB) - "The speech of a good person is worth waiting for; the blabber of the wicked is worthless."

Our words have immense value and power. They can build up or tear down, inspire or discourage, and bring life or death. Today's verse reminds us that the words of a good person are precious and worthwhile, while the empty chatter of the wicked is meaningless. As believers, we are called to speak life-giving words that reflect God's wisdom and love.

The value of our words is not measured by their quantity, but by their quality. A single, well-timed word of encouragement can change someone's day. A thoughtful, prayerful response can diffuse tension and bring peace. Conversely, thoughtless words can cause harm and destruction. Let us strive to speak words that are seasoned with salt, gracious, and filled with wisdom (Colossians 4:6). May our conversations be infused with God's love, kindness, and compassion.

As we speak, remember that our words reflect our heart and character. May we ask God to guard our lips and guide our tongues, that our words may be a blessing to others and bring glory to Him. "Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person." (Colossians 4:6). Take a moment to reflect on your words today – are they worth waiting for?

Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father,
Help me speak words that bring life, hope, and encouragement to others. May my conversations reflect Your love, wisdom, and kindness.
In Jesus' Name, Amen.
