As another productive week comes to an end, I am grateful to Almighty Allah for granting me the opportunities to serve, learn, and give back to society.

At ENGAUSA Global Tech Hub, I had the pleasure of receiving students from Makkah Integrated School, Kano, who paid us a courtesy visit to learn more about innovation, technology, entrepreneurship, and skills development. It is always inspiring to interact with young minds who are eager to shape their future through knowledge and practical skills.

I also received Dr. Saidu Nasiru Sulaiman, Coordinator of Entrepreneurship at Baba Ahmed University, who presented an appreciation letter to ENGAUSA Global Tech Hub on behalf of the university in recognition of our contributions to developing the entrepreneurial and vocational skills of their students. We sincerely appreciate this gesture and remain committed to strengthening collaborations that empower young people.

Another memorable engagement during the week was my interview on AREWA24, where I shared my perspective on the importance of prioritizing human capital development over financial capital. I emphasized that sustainable economic growth is driven not merely by access to funding, but by investing in people through quality skills, innovation, entrepreneurship, and lifelong learning. When individuals are equipped with the right competencies, they become capable of creating wealth, generating employment, and transforming their communities.

Outside the Hub, I also had the honour of serving as a judge during the Final Pitching Session of the BUK Students Innovation Competition 2026, organized as part of the 1st National Conference and Exhibition on Research and Development at Bayero University, Kano.

I rarely turn down an invitation from my alma mater, Bayero University, Kano (BUK), because I believe I owe the university a debt of gratitude that can only be repaid through service and contribution. This is one of the reasons ENGAUSA Global Tech Hub continues to welcome opportunities for collaboration with various faculties, departments, and centres in the areas of career guidance, entrepreneurship, innovation, and skills acquisition.

One thing that truly impressed me was the quality of the students’ innovations. Their projects demonstrated remarkable creativity, ingenuity, and commitment to developing home-grown solutions to real community challenges. It is encouraging to see our young innovators focusing on practical ideas with the potential to create meaningful social and economic impact.

Nigeria’s future lies not only in acquiring certificates but also in nurturing innovators, problem-solvers, entrepreneurs, and creators who can transform ideas into sustainable solutions.
