Beloved brothers and sisters in the Lord, I bring this to your remembrance: if you cannot thank God in every season — both in the storm and in the sunshine — your spiritual tank will never be full. Gratitude is the oil that keeps the lamp of faith burning even in the darkest night.
The Bible says in 5:18, “Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.”
I may not know what you are passing through today, nor the silent battles hidden behind your smile, but I encourage you: be thankful to God. A tree does not stop standing because the wind blows against it. In the same way, as long as there is breath in you, let Christ remain your hope for tomorrow.
Remember, weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. Your present pain is not the end of your story. Sometimes God uses the fire, not to destroy you, but to refine you like gold.
Do not complain, because complaints have never built a bridge out of trouble. Murmuring only deepens the valley, but thanksgiving opens the door for God’s peace and strength. Even in the wilderness, a thankful heart can still find water from the rock.
So lift your voice in gratitude. Thank God in the good times and in the difficult times, for a grateful heart is a magnet for God’s presence and blessings.
