A few years ago, if someone had asked me where I would be today, I would have given a very confident answer. I had everything mapped out—the people I would meet, the opportunities I would have, the victories I would celebrate.

But life had other ideas.

There were doors I desperately wanted to open that remained shut. There were moments I thought I had failed. There were seasons when fear whispered, “Maybe you’re not good enough. Maybe this dream isn’t for you.”

Yet, looking back now, I realize something powerful: the moments that disappointed me were actually the moments that shaped me.

The delays taught me patience. The setbacks taught me resilience. The failures taught me lessons that success could never teach.

And then I began to understand that life is not a straight road; it’s a journey of unexpected turns. Sometimes the very thing that breaks your heart is preparing you for something bigger than you can imagine.

Today, I no longer ask, “Why is this happening to me?” Instead, I ask, “What is this moment trying to teach me?”

Because every one of us is carrying a story—of dreams delayed, battles fought, and victories still waiting to happen.

So, I want to leave you with a question: If you could go back five years and speak to your younger self, what would you say?

Would you tell yourself to be braver? To worry less? To take that chance? To believe a little more?

Maybe the answer is this: trust the journey.

Because life may not always give us the story we planned, but if we keep moving forward, it often gives us a story worth telling.
