The Russia-Ukraine war has affected several sectors of the economy. In Nigeria, the FMCG industry has not been left out. In Nigeria, there has been a record of the effect of the war between Russia and Ukraine on the FMCG market in Nigeria such as the increase in gas prices, logistics, foreign exchange illiquidity, domestic inflationary pressure, raw materials, energy, and a weakening purchasing power.
The problem with this, however, is that small and medium FMCG companies will be more vulnerable to this spike than larger FMCG companies which have a higher chance of survival.
