Only Jesus Can Help You

YOUR FAITH - PART 1

Revelation 3:7-8
[7]And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;
[8]I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.

Yes, Christ spoke, “See I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it;” (Revelation 3:8 NKJV). But the statement didn’t begin from there for Jesus said firstly, “I know thy works” and neither did it end there. It was ended with “.... for you have a little strength, have kept my word, and have not denied my name.”

This is to show that in the kingdom of God nothing happens by chance. For every given manifestation or miracle obtained in the Bible events an effort is being applied to obtain it. So, every promises in the Bible require steps to become evident in your life. Just like you apply a force to milk out the juice from an orange you engage in this valuable and profitable steps to experience a turn around in your situation.

The word “testament” as used in the Bible in the Greek term means “covenant” or “contract” which connotes a contract between two parties - God the Father and His children in Christ Jesus in this case. And this contract becomes effectual when the two parties play their respective roles and the result is manifested thus.

Our heavenly father has given us many wonderful promises in His word but their manifestations become isolated in our lives as we face trials and temptations unless we “work out our salvation....” as quoted in Philippians 2:12 (KJV). So, we have roles to play if we want to see our lives transformed from glory to glory.

The Bible says, “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17 NKJV). But the potency of faith is observed in the action that follows and subsequently, the results. Many examples in the scripture exist to validate this statement (Matthew 9:20-22; Mark 2:1-5; Matthew 15:22-28).

So, faith has work (1 Thessalonians 1:3) and the end result is that you become saved from your problems (1 Peter 1:9).
But if we fail to act in faith we cannot commit God to help us (Hebrews 11:6 KJV) because “....Faith without works is dead” (James 2:20 KJV).

THE STEPS TO TAKE
1.) BE CONTINUOUSLY FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT
Jesus said, “....the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life” (John 6:63 KJV). And it was recorded that God anointed him with the Holy Ghost and with power (Acts 10:38 KJV). Also, John 3:34 (KJV) recorded that He had the Holy Spirit without measures.

With these scriptural references, we can understand that the word of God you receive in your heart becomes powerful when it is anointed by the Holy Spirit in you and your level of anointing determines the impact of the word in your situation. You receive more power or anointing as you are being filled with the Holy Spirit. Apostle Paul confirms this by saying that his word was in the demonstration of the Holy Ghost and power (1 Corinthians 2:4 KJV). He further said in 1 Corinthians 4:20 (KJV) that the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.

To further explain this truth is to point out the reason why the Lord Jesus had to tell his disciples to wait for the power of the Holy Spirit (Luke 24:49 KJV; see also Acts 1:8). Jesus, in his earthly ministry, taught his disciples for three years as accounted in the bible. But the question is this: why would they have to wait since they have gotten his word (teachings)?

So, the importance of being filled (a continuous experience) with the Holy Spirit should be a topic of concern being that we Christians have not fully show forth the potency of the word of God in our lives. To prevent this sad state is why Jesus told them that they will become witness for him when they have received his Spirit and his power (Acts 1:8 KJV). And so evidently, Peter spoke the same words (He must have preached to people before but without results) but now with a difference (by the empowerment of the Holy Spirit) and three thousand souls gave their lives to Christ.

BE BORN AGAIN
Jesus said, "Except a man be born again of water and the of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God".

To enter a place shows that an access was created. So, for you to have access to the blessings God has for his children, you just be transformed into becoming his child.

Say this confession, "lord Jesus, I confess that I have sinned against you. Forgive me all my sins and come into my life. Baptise me with your Spirit and give me the power to sin no more. Thank you lord I am born again a new man"

Congratulations! You are now a child of God. Pray to God to lead you to a church were you will grow spiritually or write us.
