Besides personal preparation and self branding, you equally needs self exposure to potential opportunities. You can't stay in your comfort zone and be expecting opportunities to come knocking your door. You need to be out there and be attractive, active and very visible.

Attend seminars, symposium and other events in your niche so as to meet new people. Intentional participate in forums.
