Russia has begun importing gasoline from India to ease fuel shortages caused by Ukrainian drone attacks on its oil refineries and energy facilities.

The first shipments have already been dispatched, with more imports expected in the coming months.

The government plans to import up to 400,000 tonnes of gasoline each month from countries including India and Belarus.

Russian authorities are also introducing support measures to stabilise fuel supplies as demand remains high across the country.
