GETHSEMANE WOMEN DONATES INCUBATOR TO CELEBRATE CHILDREN’S DAY

In the bid to reduce infant mortality rate in Nigeria and to commemorates this year's children's day celebration, a non-interdenominational, non-governmental Christian Organization from the house of Freedom - Gethsemane women fellowship on Thursday donated an incubator to Lagos State Messy Street Children's hospital.

According to the coordinator of the group, Pastor Loveth Orhonor, she said the choice of an incubator to was made to commemorate this year's children's day celebration because it is one of the most important facility needed for newborns struggling with their lives and stated that the group based its donation to the findings from 2013, World Health Organization reports
which states that about one million infants dies annually and 75 percentage died due to the lack of incubator in most hospitals. She said

" I and my team are here to celebrate children’s day differently and to say welldone to the management of the hospital for putting extra efforts to keep these babies alive and healthy" She said

Mrs Awesiri Eyieyien stated that the donation was in furtherance to the role the Gethsemane women play in the lives of christian women all over the world in helping them birth their purpose, give voice to the voiceless and help them actualise their destiny.

The donation ignited joy in people faces at the hospital as the Medical Director and CEO of the hospital, Doctor, Mrs. Abimbola Mabogunje expressed their appreciation to the group, she said: “An incubator is a good thing as we know, we need incubators for newborns who struggle with their lives and we are glad the Gethsemane women came to our aid.

According to her, children are the most important people in the society whether we like it or not, they are the leaders of tomorrow.

In addition,
Doctor Mrs. Irewole Ojo Folakemi, Director of clinical services and training at the hospital added: “Your kind deeds will impact babies and mothers. You have added joy to thousands of women by this donation as a lot of babies will pass through this life saving incubator. You have put smiles in the faces of mothers on the street in many years to come, you have chosen the right equipment, we are grateful and this will increase the growth rate of the babies under our watch". She stated.

The same bond that drew Ruth and Naomi together also unites this family, namely, pure worship of Jehovah God.

All of them humbly and gratefully recognize that God and Jesus Christ are their best friends.

‘Almighty God and his Son as friends?’ you may wonder. ‘How is that possible? Is that not presumptuous?’ Well, the Bible says: “Abraham put faith in God. . . and he came to be called ‘Jehovah’s friend.’”

That certainly was undeserved kindness. Yet God's Word says: “God opposes the haughty ones, but he gives undeserved kindness to the humble ones.”​

Perhaps some feel too sinful for such a privilege. But James goes on to say: “Draw close to God, and he will draw close to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you indecisive ones. Humble yourselves in the eyes of God and he will exalt you.”​

Jesus said: “You are my friends if you do what I am commanding you.” He also pointed out that the greatest commandments are to ‘love God with all our heart, soul, and mind, and our neighbor as ourselves.’ ) If we do that, we will have many true friends.

Moreover, we will thus qualify for another great privilege​—everlasting life on a cleansed earth under God’s Kingdom.

As Jesus said: “His [God’s] commandment means everlasting life.”​

Be selective about those with whom you associate.
Take a warm interest in others, and be a good listener.

Do things together​—shared experiences strengthen friendship.

Be frank, open, and sincere at all times.

Show empathy and compassion when others are in trouble.

When friends make mistakes or upset you, be ready to forgive​—even “up to seventy-seven times.”​

When friends are slandered or unfairly criticized, be loyal and defend them.

Shared worship of Jehovah immeasurably strengthens friendship.
