Possible cause of this itching is a skin disorder called
*Aquagenic pruritus*
Having conducted an analysis of relevant scientific articles and reports regarding Aquagenic piuritus.
The most common cause of Aquagenic piuritus appears to be allergies, though the exact triggers remains unclear.
Other potential underlying factors may include hormonal imbalances, hereditary conditions, nutrition deficiencies and toxins in the environment.
Furthermore, recent studies have suggested a possible link between aquagenic piuritus and certain autoimmune diseases such as psoriasis or eczema.
Treatment strategies for aquagenic piuritus vary based on the individual patient, but generally involve allergen avoidance or immunotherapy, corticosteroids or antihistamines, light therapy and lifestyle modifications.
While there is no known cure for aquagenic piuritus at this time, research into genetic testing may offer new insights into a potential treatment in the future.
To some people you have to bath with hot water and use pure cotton towel, others cold water and sponge-less bath will do.
The solution varies from persons to persons.
A 22 year old woman experiences tingling and burning sensations on her arms after coming into contact with water, such as when she takes a shower.
She consulted a Skin therapist and is diagnosed with Aquagenic Piuritus.
The therapist encourages her to avoid the allergen triggers, prescribes a corticosteroid cream to reduce inflammation, and suggests heat therapy to reduce itching symptoms.
It disappeared with time.
Finally, dietary changes such as eliminating processed foods like wheat/Sugar and switching to an anti-inflammatory diet may also positively impact symptoms.
