Jesus instructed his disciples in Acts 1:4 : "Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. For John baptized with water, but in a few days, you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit."

The promise of the Father requires men and women who will tarry—who will wait, persist, and press in until the outpouring of His Spirit is revealed through the word, prayers and songs.
