The real function of a record label in the music industry is to open doors for unsigned & independent artists to submit their ep or album projects while at the same time assist the artist financially to promote, market & distribute their ep & album projects nationwide. If the recording label re-produce the single, ep or album, they own the master & not the song. So in this regard the recording company receive more percentage. But in the case, where the artist single, ep or album is accepted by the label without any corrections then the artist own the master & earn more percentage.

Dear Artist, If you observe carefully, in the music industry here in Nigeria, you will agree with me that recording labels operate like a recording company which to us is a fraud in disguise. This method of operation is misdirection, confusing & its a substandard way of operations in the music industry which doesn't meet up the international standard ways of operations. Frankly speaking, record labels should all come out clean by re-directing their method of operations where they discovered artist via submission of single, ep or album & stop organizing talent hunt which is not their original function to discovered artist

After the selections, those artists with single will perform live on stage in front of live judges who will screen the various artists stage performances & confirmed the next artist to blow numbering about 10 artists every week whose songs will be compiled into a 10tracks album, uploaded online & the individual artist will get paid royalty if their songs are streamed or downloaded online. While those with full ep & album will be celebrated as we are going to officially release & launch their album or ep online/offline
