BASIS FOR THE ARREST OF MS. IZUEGBU ANTHONET (ANN)
Following the arrest of Ms. Izuegbu Anthonet, popularly known as Ann, several misleading and inflammatory narratives have circulated across social media platforms. These claims are inaccurate, reckless, and appear deliberately intended to misrepresent the circumstances surrounding her arrest.

1. Criminal Defamation
Ms. Izuegbu Anthonet was arrested in connection with statements she publicly made, alleging that Senator Ned Munir Nwoko physically assaulted his wife, Mrs. Laila Nwoko, resulting in a miscarriage. These allegations are entirely false. No such incident occurred, and there is no record or evidence of any miscarriage resulting from violence.
The statements were made without substantiation and form part of a coordinated effort to revive previously circulated, unproven domestic violence claims.
2. Alleged Involvement in an Illegal Abortion
Ms. Izuegbu Anthonet has also been implicated in the alleged procurement of an illegal abortion involving Regina Daniels during her lawful marriage to Senator Ned Munir Nwoko. Available records indicate that the incident occurred after the marriage, despite subsequent attempts to alter the narrative timeline.
The legality of the alleged act remains unchanged regardless of how the timeline is reframed. The matter has been previously referenced publicly, including by Regina Daniels herself, and is now subject to law-enforcement review.
3. Formal Witness Statement and Ongoing Investigation
A formal witness statement dated 29 October 2025 was submitted to the Area Commander, Maitama Police Station. The statement details repeated and ongoing activities involving Ms. Izuegbu Anthonet and other individuals. It alleges that she routinely sourced, handled, and administered controlled and illegal substances to Regina Daniels and others.
The statement further references identifiable suppliers, corroborative observations, and supporting details already provided to law-enforcement authorities. These matters are currently under investigation by the appropriate agencies.
