🌺The real problem may not be rising prices…..

Over the past few days, l’ve shared several posts about pricing, customer spending habits, and the challenge many small businesses are facing today.

The discussion has been fascinating.
Some business owners are afraid to raise prices because customers are already buying less.

Customers, on the other hand, are hoping prices will somehow stay where they are.
But perhaps both groups are fighting the wrong battle.
The real issue may not be rising prices at all.
The real issue is that for many people, income has not kept pace with rising costs.
Think about it.
If your income doubled tomorrow, would you be as worried about the increase in the price of bread, fuel, electricity, school fees, or craft supplies?
Probably not.
For business owners, this means that simply holding prices down is not a long-term strategy.
For consumers, hoping prices will magically return to what they were years ago is equally unrealistic.

Instead, both groups may need to focus on the same thing:
Increasing value creation and increasing income.
That could mean:
✅ Developing new skills
✅ Creating additional income streams
✅ Improving productivity
✅ Reducing waste
✅ Repurposing resources
✅ Making more intentional spending decisions.

The businesses and individuals who thrive during difficult economic periods are often not those who resist change the longest.
They are the ones who adapt the fastest.
