Last week, we released our Election Security Threat Assessment Report on the Ekiti State 2026 Governorship Election, providing evidence-based insights into the evolving electoral security landscape ahead of the June 20 gubernatorial poll.

Drawing on community perceptions, and security trend analysis, the report identifies key election-related threats, assesses risk levels across Local Government Areas, and offers practical recommendations to electoral stakeholders, security agencies, political parties, civil society organisations, and the media.

Among the report's key findings are concerns around vote buying, political thuggery, misinformation, voter intimidation, and ballot snatching, alongside the growing importance of addressing information disorder and ensuring the neutrality of security deployments.

The report underscores the need for proactive coordination among stakeholders to safeguard electoral integrity, promote peaceful participation, and strengthen public confidence in the democratic process.
