REPORT: CHILDREN’S DAY CELEBRATION AT EGUN COMMUNITY IN IWAYA, YABA IN LAGOS ON 29TH MAY 2014
Ghetto Love volunteers visited the Egun Community in Iwaya, Yaba Lagos on the 29th May 2014 to celebrate children’s day in a remarkable way that the children won’t forgot any time soon.
We had 286 children in attendance and they had the opportunity to express themselves in songs, drama, games, dancing competition, bouncy castle, face painting amongst other activities.
Some of our volunteers motivated the children with their childhood stories and challenged them to stay in school and learn so has to be enlightened.
The children went home with cooked food, drinks, exercise books, new clothes, games, school bags to mention but a few.
We sincerely appreciate our donors and volunteers for making this edition a huge success. God bless your purse always.
Our next event: “Back to School” holds on 6th September 2014 (Location to be announced later).
