Dear Nigerian husbands,
There is a woman somewhere in Nigeria tonight.
She cooked.
She bathed the children.
She checked homework.
She packed school bags.
She prepared tomorrow’s food.
And when she finally sits down, someone says:
“Thank you for taking care of the children.”
But the truth is…
She didn’t create those children alone.
Motherhood is heavy.
But it becomes lighter when fatherhood stands beside it.
Parenting is not a favour to your wife.
It is a promise you both made to your children.
❤️ To the fathers who truly show up every day, we see you.
To every tired mom, you're seen
No one claps for the mum who stayed awake all night.
No one sees the tears she hides.
But tomorrow morning…
She’ll still get up and do it all again

Somewhere in Nigeria tonight, a mother lies awake.
Not because she’s full of energy. She’s exhausted, but her child has a fever.
She’s checked the thermometer more times than she wants to admit. She whispered quiet prayers into the darkness. She’s rummaged through cabinets for medicine, feeling her way around in the shadows. She keeps her palm pressed to that little forehead, hoping it’s cooler now.
She knows she has work in the morning. The bills won’t disappear, and the house is still waiting for her attention.
But right now, none of that matters. Not when her whole world is curled up in bed, needing her.
Tonight, all she wants to hear is a sleepy voice saying, “Mummy, I’m feeling better.”
To every parent out there who’s sat awake by their sick child, we see you.
So tell us, how long have you stayed up, just watching over someone you love?

🚦 Traffic Confessions #01
Somewhere in Lagos traffic this morning, a mother missed her child’s school assembly.
Not because she didn’t care.
But because the Third Mainland Bridge wasn’t moving.
She watched the time on her dashboard.
7:35 AM…
7:48 AM…
8:10 Am
Her son had asked only one thing before leaving home:
“Mummy, please don’t miss it this time.”
She tried.
She really did.
When she finally arrived, the children were already walking back to their classrooms.
Her son smiled when he saw her.
But she noticed the disappointment he tried to hide.
As she drove away, she didn’t blame the traffic.
She blamed herself.
That’s what many mothers do.
They carry guilt for things they never controlled.
To every Nigerian mother trying to be in two places at once…
We see you.
You are doing better than you think.

Have you ever missed an important moment because of Lagos traffic or work?

The children get the biggest piece of meat. Mama says she’s not hungry. 💔
The children eat the best part of the meal.
The biggest piece of meat.
The freshest fish.
The extra spoon of rice.
Mama watches their plates first.
“Have you eaten enough?”
“Do you want some more?”c
“Take mine if you’re still hungry.”
By the time everyone is satisfied, she’s eating what’s left.
The strongest love is often the sacrifice nobody sees.
Drop a ❤️ If you’ve ever watched a mother do this.
Take a moment to appreciate her today.

People often say motherhood is hard.
What they don't talk about is how much harder it becomes when your partner refuses to be a true partner.
A supportive husband shares the responsibilities.
The wrong one creates more of them.
Motherhood was never meant to be a one-woman team.
Do you agree that a good partner can make motherhood easier?

Motherhood is a beautiful part of a woman’s identity
but it should never erase who she is.
Her dreams, passions, voice, and purpose still matter.

A woman with money is treated differently.
Suddenly:
Her voice matters
Her opinions are respected
Her presence is valued
Same woman.
Only difference?
She can now survive without you.
So let’s be honest,
is it love or control?

Motherhood isn’t always picture-perfect.
Sometimes it looks like exhaustion, sweat, and carrying on anyway.
The work mothers do may not always be seen, but it matters every single day. ❤️
