UNIFIED NIGERIA BREAKING

In the heart of Nigeria, where Afrobeat pulses through the streets, the Nigeria Breaking Community and Association was born. We are a group of passionate breakers united by our love for Breakin' culture.

As we delved deeper into the world of Breakin', we realized that the culture was more than just dance – it was a way of life. We saw how Breakin' had empowered Nigerian youth, giving them a voice and a platform for self-expression.

Determined to stay true to the culture, we made a conscious decision to keep our events and activities authentic and community-driven. We organize yearly Breakin' sessions, which bring together dancers from various communities, fostering unity, creativity, and healthy competition. These events embody the inclusive spirit of Breakin' culture, empowering Nigerian youth and promoting community empowerment.

Our events are always free and open to the public, reflecting the inclusive spirit of Breakin'. We also partner with local institutions, supporting the growth of our community.

As the Nigeria Breaking Community and Association grew, we remained committed to preserving the integrity of Breakin' culture in Nigeria. We rejected commercial sponsorships that would compromise our values and instead focused on building partnerships with organizations that shared our vision.

Years went by, and our community continued to thrive. The Nigeria Breaking Community and Association is a beacon for Breakin' enthusiasts across Nigeria, a symbol of the power of staying true to one's roots. Our story served as a testament to the enduring spirit of Breakin' culture and its ability to uplift and empower Nigerian youth.

Staying original to Breakin' culture and community requires dedication, resilience, and a willingness to stay true to the principles that defined the culture. We are proud to be part of a global movement that celebrates creativity, self-expression, and community empowerment.

NIGERIA BREAK - DANCERS REPRESENTATION ASSOCIATION presents UNIFIED BREAKING CHAMPIONSHIP 2025

The UNIFIED BREAKING CHAMPIONSHIP is an opportunity to further build Breaking to a broader Nigeria audience.

Breakin "Break Dance" as a sport currently resonates with youths and for young people to construct identity and express themselves through Breakin

Breaking "breakdancing" is an alternative route for young people to address social problems and to create a positive effect in preventing violence, uniting and uplifting the Breaking Community in Nigeria.

INTRODUCTION NIGERIA BREAK - DANCE REPRESENTATION ASSOCIATION.

Nigeria Break-Dance Representation Association (NBDRA) is an Organized Body of Nigeria Breakers within Nigeria. NBDRA was created in August 2024 by the Nigeria Breaking Community to protect and elevate the community and Breaking culture in Nigeria.

The Association is to represent and serve our professional members by promoting and advancing their artistic endeavors. We are dedicated to enhancing economic and working conditions for our members, while fostering strong relationships between members, event organizers, national, and international governing bodies.

BOARD OF REPRESENTATIVES AND REGIONAL REPRESENTATIVES:

Our association consist of the Board Of Representatives and Regional Reps that represent the community across all regions of Nigeria.

BREAKIN CULTURE:

Breakin “Break – Dance” is one of the core elements of Hip-hop culture which consist of Toprocks, Footwork, Transitions, Power move and freezes
