Tears of a Nation 🇳🇬

The cries grow louder in the night,
As fear steals away peace and light.
Young dreams are shattered before they bloom,
While families mourn in endless gloom.

Mothers weep and fathers pray,
Hoping their loved ones return someday.
Children belong in schools, not in fear,
Yet too many disappear year after year.

A nation bleeds when innocence falls,
When violence echoes through villages and halls.
May justice rise, may peace prevail,
And may love and humanity never fail.

Yvonne Jegede’s words got me thinking.

Many people choose love believing that feelings alone will be enough to carry a relationship through every season of life. But as time goes on, reality often reminds us that love and stability need to work hand in hand.

Love is beautiful, but love without direction, purpose, or a plan for the future can become overwhelming. Financial struggles, unmet expectations, and the pressures of daily life can put even the strongest feelings to the test.

This doesn’t mean money should be the most important factor when choosing a partner. It simply means that love should be accompanied by responsibility, growth, and a shared vision for the future.

A healthy relationship is built when two people are willing to love each other, support each other, and work together toward a better life.

What are your thoughts? Can love alone sustain a relationship, or should love and financial stability go together?
