So it was a giant stride as the Nigerian Association of Technologists in Engineering (NATE) was officially presented with the Patent certificate for the invention of an industrial scale Rice De-stoning machine by the Honorable Minister for Science and technology Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu .
Engineering Technologists from the Lagos state branch of the association had in 2016 designed and fabricated a machine that can remove the smallest stone from our locally made rice. This machine can handle at least 500kg(10 bags) of rice per hour. Since the machine was lunched, a lot of rice farmers in nigeria have been desirous to own it but the law requires that any innovation be patented first before mass production. This is to avoid intellectual property theft hence the journey that culminated to the event of 10/12/2018. I am very proud to be among the innovators and finally we have a solution to encourage people to consume locally produced rice from Benue, Kebbi, Aba,Ofada etc. Proudly Nigerian!
God is a generous God. Everything you have in life is because God gave it to you. It's a gift. It's God's generosity.
God wants us to follow his example. He wants us to create a spiritual legacy of generosity. We do this by learning to be a giver, not a taker. Our culture is all about being self-serving. It encourages us to take, take, take. It's all about acquiring money .But God says that's not the way it is. I laugh when people say 'USE WHAT U HAVE TO GET WHAT U WANT'. What is it that you have that is not given to you by God?
God says that if you trust him and give generously, he will bless your wealth, your health, you family, your career, your time, your past, your present and your future.
I don't give to get a blessing. I give to be a blessing. Do you see the difference there? Be a blessing to someone today by giving something you don't want any thing in return. What a way to build a lasting spiritual legacy!

A visit to the major source of electricity for Lagos and environs(Egbin Power Plc) gives me hope that 24hrs availability is achievable with 100% nigerian man power but the challenge however is that the power has to pass through the un-ending problems with transmission and distribution which are mostly caused by sabotage. What exactly can we do to stop these saboteurs?
