**IREPODUN SHASHA CDA SECURITY GATE UPDATE**

Dear Friends, Families, and Neighbours,

We want to sincerely thank everyone who has supported the **Irepodun Shasha Security Gate Project** — through your time, donations, and words of encouragement. Your collective effort has brought us this far, and we deeply appreciate your commitment to our community's safety and development.

✅ *Current Status:*
The construction work is currently **on hold due to lack of funds**. The gate stands open because we **need to complete the security post and hire a security guard** before full operation can begin.

🧱 *What’s Left to Complete:*

* Finish block work and roofing of the **security post**
* Install **wooden security doors and windows**
* Complete **electrical wiring** and provide **light**
* **Hire and equip security guards**
* Install **Deca AI CCTV camera**
* Install **signage**, **gate reflectors**, and **solar streetlights** nearby

💳 *New Levy Agreement:*
After discussions with residents and executives, it has been agreed that each compound should pay an **additional ₦10,000 levy** to help complete the project.

We are committed to **transparency** — the community can clearly see how every naira has been spent. Our goal is to finish this **crucial work** together, and to make our estate a safer, more organized place for all.

It’s the end of the month — please **pay your levies without delay** so we can move forward. We are counting on each household to play their part.

Good day to all members of the Irepodun Shasha community,

We are excited to inform you that today we officially began improving our streets by filling them with broken blocks. Work has started on Modakeke Street, and our boys are already on site.

When you see them, please show your appreciation—they are volunteering their time and effort to uplift our community.

Special thanks to the kind landlord who donated the broken blocks. We are still in need of support to cover the labour costs, and we invite well-meaning members of the community to contribute towards this cause.

Let’s continue working together for a better Irepodun Shasha—one project at a time.

I am so grateful for the opportunity to help in this community my mother, (God rest her soul), decided to live before her passing. As secretary of this (CDA) community development association I help to keep the community informed by whatsapp posts & physical meetings. Thank you to all the CDA executives, Landlord’s & residents for your payments, dues, levies conyributions which help our community small small to grow & build something beautiful. Here you will see our progress

We want to sincerely thank the Lagos State Government for the palliative support in 2024 – 64 bags of rice, beans, and garri. These items were shared among over 200 people in our community, especially those in need and less able to fend for themselves.

Right now, life is not easy for many Nigerians. The economy has made things very tough – jobs are scarce, food prices are rising almost daily, and petrol costs are higher than ever. Families are struggling just to get by.

While we’re grateful for the food support, we also hope for continued improvements in our communities – better streets, working gutters, and safer environments. These basic things can go a long way in making life more bearable for everyday people.

Let’s continue to support one another. May better days come soon.
