For those whose Facebook accounts haven’t been restricted yet, please read this carefully to save yourself.

After some research, I discovered that Meta is now restricting a lot of accounts.

Before, Meta mostly targeted people who made abusive or insulting comments. But now, things have changed—they are also paying close attention to the kind of posts you make, not just your comments.

This means that if your post doesn’t follow their terms and conditions, your account could either be restricted or flagged.

Here are the types of posts you should avoid:

Stop posting about giveaways.

Stop posting about job offers or job searches.

Stop posting links to random websites.

Stop sharing false news, especially about politics or health.

Avoid using abusive words in your posts. Also, if people insult you in the comments, don’t reply with insults. If your account gets flagged, you are the one who loses—not the person insulting you.

Avoid sharing other people’s content. Instead, create your own and post it.

Now that you know this, go back to your previous posts and edit or delete any content that could implicate you.

I did this myself this morning, and I feel more secure now.

If you really want to build yourself on this platform, focus on creating and sharing original, valuable content. Meta appreciates and promotes users who consistently share their own work rather than copying others.
