Surprisingly I have not been active here for months
And I'm not losing followers
Facebook knows what they are doing when I was working hard
I was losing followers on a daily base

I don’t usually speak on religious issues here, but this got me thinking.

I’ve seen a lot of strong reactions about the incident where a girl was reportedly asked to remove her hijab before writing JAMB. I understand why people are upset everyone deserves to practice their beliefs without feeling singled out.

But at the same time, I find myself asking a difficult question.

Why does this situation generate so much visible outrage, while the ongoing killings and terrorism in parts of Northern Nigeria affecting both Muslims and Christians don’t seem to spark the same level of collective public energy?

This isn’t to say people aren’t speaking up at all. But the difference in intensity feels noticeable.

So I’m genuinely trying to understand
How do we, as a society, decide what issues get the loudest reactions?

Are we more responsive to issues that feel immediate and personal, or are there other factors at play?

I’m open to hearing different perspectives.
