The Oscar award winning Hollywood actor made this known in an Instagram post.
The couple who are currently in Australia had to go in for a test after experiencing symptoms of a common cold and slight fever in Queensland, Australia where the actor was working on a new movie.
The test came out positive.

"We Hanks' will be tested, observed, and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires. Not much more to it than a one-day-at-a-time approach, no?" Tom Hanks wrote on Instagram.

In a recent development, World Health Organisation (WHO) officially declared outbreak a pandemic on Wednesday.
