SUNDAY SCHOOL LESSON OUTLINE 17th May,2026.

THE IMPORTANT OF NEW BIRTH! (This lesson is a continuation from current Bible study outline).

MEMORY VERSE:-
John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

SPECIAL NOTE

The new birth in Christ, or being "born again," is a spiritual transformation through the Holy Spirit that renews a believer’s heart, grants salvation, and initiates a life of righteousness and eternal hope.
*Meaning of the New Birth
The new birth, also called being "born again," is a spiritual rebirth that occurs when a person accepts Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior (John 3:3-7). Unlike physical birth, this transformation is initiated by the Holy Spirit, who regenerates the believer’s heart, enabling them to live a new life in Christ (John 3:5-6). It involves repentance, faith, and a turning away from sin, marking the believer as a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17). This change is not merely moral or emotional but a radical renewal of nature and standing before God, encompassing both justification and sanctification.

*Importance of the New Birth
Essential for Salvation: Jesus emphasized that no one can see or enter the Kingdom of God without being born again (John 3:3, 5). It is the prerequisite for fellowship with God and eternal life.

*Transformation of Life: The new birth replaces the old self, dominated by sin, with a new self characterized by righteousness, holiness, and alignment with God’s will (2 Corinthians 5:17). It empowers believers to live in accordance with Christ’s teachings.

*Work of the Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit convicts, regenerates, and guides believers, making the new birth a divine act rather than a human achievement (John 3:8; 1 Peter 1:3). This underscores human dependence on God’s grace.

*Foundation for Christian Life: Being born again establishes a new identity in Christ, fostering a relationship with God, participation in the body of Christ, and a life marked by faith, purpose, and love (1 Peter 1:23).

*Eternal Perspective: The new birth points to both present transformation and future hope, including eternal life and participation in God’s renewed creation, free from sin and suffering (Revelation 21).

*The Role of the Holy Spirit in New Birth
As we look deeper into the new birth, we must acknowledge the crucial role of the Holy Spirit. It is through the Spirit that we experience this transformation. The Holy Spirit is our guide who helps us grow in faith. He regenerates our hearts, leading us toward an understanding of God’s love and grace. This new birth brings us into a family of believers, where the Spirit works within us to produce fruit—love, joy, peace, and more. When we allow the Holy Spirit to take the lead, we begin to live out the change that our new birth promises.

*The Importance of Faith in New Birth
Our experience of the new birth is intimately linked with our faith. When we place our trust in Jesus, we enter into a beautiful new reality. It takes faith to believe that we are forgiven and accepted, and that we are now a part of God’s family. This act of faith is transformative; it is the starting point for the new life we receive in Christ. Trusting Him leads to a relationship where we can grow, learn, and be nourished in our spiritual journey. Faith is not just a one-time act; it is a continuous journey of trusting and leaning on God’s promises.

*Summary
The new birth in Christ is a spiritual rebirth that transforms the believer’s heart, mind, and life, enabling them to enter God’s Kingdom, live righteously, and experience eternal life. It is a divine work of the Holy Spirit, foundational to salvation, sanctification, and the believer’s ongoing relationship with God, shaping both personal conduct and communal life within the body of Christ.

SUNDAY SCHOOL LESSON 29th March, 2026.

HEATHY LIVING ( GLYCEMIC INDEX GI ON HEATHY FOOD AND FRUITS)

MEMORY VERSE:-
Genesis:9:3 [GNT]
[3] Now you can eat them, as well as green plants; I give them all to you for food.

INTRODUCTION

*Quality of Food Bible Verse
The Bible emphasizes the quality of food as a gift from God, highlighting its significance in both physical and spiritual aspects. Verses such as Genesis 1:29 and Psalm 104:15 illustrate God's provision of food, stating that every seed-bearing plant and tree with fruit are for food, and that wine and oil bless the heart. These verses underscore the importance of food as a means of nourishment and enjoyment, reflecting God's care and blessings.

SPECIAL NOTE

Glycemic Index of Food and Fruit
The glycemic index (GI) is a ranking system that categorizes foods based on their impact on blood glucose levels. Foods with a GI of 55 or less are considered low GI, those with a GI of 56 to 69 are medium GI, and those with a GI of 70 or higher are high GI. Understanding the GI of foods can help in making informed dietary choices, especially for individuals managing diabetes or pre-diabetes symptoms. Here's a brief overview of the GI of some common fruits:
Low GI Fruits: These include most fruits and vegetables, beans, minimally processed grains, pasta, low-fat dairy foods, and nuts. Examples of low GI fruits are apples, bananas, and berries.

Medium GI Fruits: These fruits do not produce as sharp a rise in blood sugar levels as high GI foods but still have an influence on blood sugar and insulin levels. Examples include oranges, grapes, and cherries.

High GI Fruits: These fruits can cause a sharp increase in blood sugar levels, potentially leading to a crash once insulin does its job of moving sugar from the blood. Examples include watermelon, pineapple, and mango.

It's important to note that the GI value of a food can vary significantly based on processing or cooking methods, ripeness, and fiber content. Therefore, it's essential to check the GI value for the specific food you intend to consume.

*Importance of Glycemic Index in Diet
Understanding the glycemic index of foods is crucial for individuals managing diabetes or those looking to maintain stable energy levels. Choosing lower GI foods can help in controlling blood sugar levels and reducing the risk of insulin spikes. It is advisable to combine low and medium GI foods in meals to balance the overall glycemic impact.
What affects the glycemic index of foods and fruits is determined by the nutritional information, such as:
*The number of carbohydrates.
*The type of carbohydrates (whether simple or complex).
*The amount of fiber.
*The amount of fat.
*The amount of protein.
Additionally, the food's ripeness, processing, form (liquid or solid, long or short grain), cooking method, and more affect its glycemic value.

SIMPLE CARBS VS COMPLEX CARBS - KNOW YOUR CARBS.

Simple carbohydrates -
Chemically speaking, are sugar molecules that stand alone, or are pair with one other sugar molecule. They are already in their simplest form, so they enter the blood stream quickly when eaten. If a food has a significant amount of simple carbs, it is likely high glycemic.
* Simple carbs are found in fruits, table sugar, refined grains (white flour), and many common foods that fill the grocery store aisles.

Complex carbohydrates,
On the other hand, are long chains of sugar molecules that need to be broken down into simple carbs. This takes time, so complex carbs enter the blood stream at a slower rate.
* Complex carbs include beans, whole wheat, brown rice, vegetables, and more.
