🔥 THE GATES ARE NEVER SHUT 🔥

In the book of Book of Revelation, we are given a powerful picture of the New Jerusalem:

“Its gates shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.”
— Revelation 21:25

Why are the gates never shut?

Because in this covenant reality:

• There is no enemy threat
• There is no darkness
• There is no siege
• There is no old covenant hostility

Under the old system, gates closed at night for protection.
Darkness meant vulnerability.
Night meant restriction.

But in the New Jerusalem —

There is no night.
There is no fear.
There is no separation.

Open gates represent:

✔ Continuous access
✔ Ongoing communion
✔ Unrestricted movement
✔ Kingdom flow
✔ Spiritual and economic exchange

You are not living behind closed gates.
You are not waiting for access.
You are not shut out of presence or promise.

The gates are open continually.

This is a present Kingdom reality — not merely a future hope.

Walk boldly.
Pray confidently.
Receive freely.

The gates are open. 🚪✨

YOUR WORDS EXPRESS WORRY OR FAITH

*You sure cannot stop a bird from flying over your head, but you sure can stop it from building a nest in your hair. In the same way, you cannot stop life’s pressures and worries from coming at you but you can definitely stop it from having an influence over your life and affecting you.*

How then do we stop worry and anxieties?

Matthew 6:31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

“...Take no thought saying...” –

This is very instructive.

Our words give room to worry, fear and anxiety.

Say not “How do I get this job? How do I sustain my family? How will I not backslide but serve God? How do I become a doctor or an engineer, How do I get this, do this or that...?

Mark 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

Jesus says “You have what you say”. Hence, if you worry, you have your worries but doubt, fear and worry will die unborn until they are spoken in words.

So when the believer prays in worry it’s a waste of time.

Mark 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

You must first deal with worry before you pray. You can’t worry and pray at the same time. You will first refuse to take the thought. However, what we often wrongly do is that we are praying and praying, we’re giving thanks and grumbling, trusting God and fretting.

God will not deal with worry for you. You will have to deal with worry by yourself because you can.

2nd Corinthians 4:13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;

THE UNRIGHTEOUS

1 CORINTHIANS 6:9-10
Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. (KJV)

We taught that we are not saved by good conduct but good conduct is expected of the saved person, not as a condition to remain saved but as fruit of salvation. Your good conduct shows that you are growing and are willing to work with God in saving others through the work of ministry. Good conduct will help you to serve God better for a glorious reward when Christ comes. There shall be believers who shall suffer loss when Christ comes.

1 Corinthians 3:14-15,
“If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire”.

It goes on to say in verse 17,

“If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are”.

“If any man” here talks of the works of the man, whatever we do as believers which does not edify the body of Christ which is the temple of God shall be destroyed which means we shall suffer loss for doing things which did not build the body Christ. A sinful lifestyle does not edify the body of Christ. It defiles and shall bring the loss of reward.

In an attempt to preach good conduct, some people use our opening text to teach that if you fornicate, commit adultery or steal or do any of the sins mentioned, you will not inherit the kingdom of God or if you are saved, you will lose your salvation. This is when the text is taken out of context for it to say what the author was not saying.

CASTING ALL YOUR CARES

*Main text - 1stPeter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.*

Today, in our devotion, we will seek to address some pertinent questions such as:
'Can a Christian want things? Is it unchristian/unholy to desire the good things of life? Is it possible to be prosperous yet godly?

What is our father's disposition towards wealth or our well- being in the earth?

To address these issues, we must firstly realize that nothing in the earth of its own self evil or created by the devil. The scriptures affirm that all things were created by God and were created good, and to be received with thanksgiving

Genesis 1:31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

Psalms 24:1 A Psalm of David. The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

Furthermore, a vital component that makes us human or man, is our will, that ability to make choices based on our individual needs or desires and for us as believers, inasmuch as we actively exist in this earth, the scriptures equally acknowledges that we will have the same needs, wants or desires as the unsaved or unbelieving man. It even goes further to let us know that our heavenly Father knows that we have need of these things which to some could be a regular and satisfying provision of three square meals daily and to some others an exquisite vacation at a private beach or holiday resort

Matthew 6:32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

So, yes the Christian man can want the good things of this life, it is not unchristian or unholy, he can be prosperous yet godly and he must never assume that poverty or wealth is an indication of piety but must at all times acknowledge that his heavenly Father cares for him and is concerned about
