At the 2025 Canadian International AutoShow

In the spring of February, we had an amazing time at the 2025 Canadian International AutoShow at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. My good friend from our Etisalat days in Nigeria, Lanre, took the initiative to organize this hangout and even paid for everyone’s ticket—true to his generous and thoughtful nature.

I naturally gravitate toward brilliant and resourceful minds. I believe in the law of attraction—the company you keep shapes your journey. And yesterday gathering was a perfect reflection of that.

Among the brilliant minds who joined us:

✅ Lanre – A passionate automobile enthusiast and a Program Manager at a multinational IT firm. His love for cars made today’s experience even more exciting.

✅ Sheriff Lawal – Without a doubt, one of the top 10 Nigerian cybersecurity experts in Canada. He currently serves as the Country Lead for Elastic, making remarkable contributions and often time our go to person when we got stuck😁

✅ Tolashe (Alhaji) – One of my closest allies in Canada. A God-fearing and brilliant Behavioral Consultant working with one of the top two behavioral agencies in Toronto. He hails from the renowned W.O Lawal family in Ibadan.

✅ Muhammad Kawu-Baraje – Rocking a white sweater top, this suave and intelligent young man is the son of the former PDP National Secretary.

✅ Alfa Sodiq – In a blue leather jacket, this first-class graduate from the University of Ibadan speaks for himself. Excellence is in his DNA.

✅ Ope – Wearing a grey hoodie, Ope is currently pursuing his second master’s degree in Canada after earning one in the UK. His deep knowledge of Nigerian politics is remarkable—I always enjoy listening to his historical and analytical takes on the subject.

This time, we also had our young ones join us—my son Faisal and my friend’s son, Khaleel. It’s important to carry these kids along because they are learning faster than we think. They kept asking brilliant questions, and I was truly impressed with their curiosity and intellect.

From cars to politics, sports, and career discussions, we covered it all while moving around exploring some of the finest automobiles on display.
