Superior Order.
S.32 of the Criminal Code.

Section 32 of the Criminal Code, provides that a person is not criminally responsible for an act or omission if it is done:

In obedience to the order of a competent authority, which he is bound by law to obey, unless the order is manifestly unlawful.

The mostly applies to the Military and the Police Force in Nigeria. If for instance, a Superintendent of Police orders his boys to stop a particular bus, search everyone in that bus, collect all their belongings including money, those junior officer if arrested will not be held liable for their actions, the SP of Police who gave that order shall be held accountable for those actions of his junior officers.

Doctrine of Learned Intermediary.

Do you that a pharmaceutical company and other companies manufacturing drugs and other medical equipments, owe the Patients or the final consumers the duty to warn them of the dangers associated with their products known to them at the time of sale and also those dangers discovered after the drugs has been sold and delivered to the final consumers.

However, where these pharmaceutical companies warns the doctor about those dangers associated with their products, they have discharged this duty that the law placed on them.
It is now left for the doctor to decide whether to prescribe the drugs to the patient or not. Where he prescribes the drugs, he should pass down the information to the patient.
The above rule is called the Doctrine of Learned Intermediary.
