The Following are the Types of Car Exhaust Smoke:

A MUST READ.

1. Black Smoke
Black smoke indicates that the engine is burning too much fuel, a condition known as running rich. This can be caused by several factors that disrupt the air-fuel mixture.

2. White Smoke
It usually means that coolant is being burned in the engine, which means that something is drastically wrong. The most common cause of this is a blown head gasket, which can quickly lead to an overheating engine.

3. Blue Smoke
Blue smoke is a clear sign that your engine isj burning oil. The liquid can leak into the combustion chamber where it is burned along with fuel. You'll probably notice your car misfiring when you turn the keys in your ignition, or find your vehicle shakes more.

4. Grey Smoke
If the smoke from the exhaust pipe is either grey or bluish-tinged, it generally means that your engine is burning oil inside the combustion chamber. Burning oil could be due to many causes, from leaky valve seals to bad piston rings.

Did you know that OVERHEATING IS NOT A FAULT?

I know you're surprised 😃😃.
Now, let me explain why I said that overheating is not a fault.

Overheating is not a fault but Symptoms of a fault.
Just the way headache or high body temperature is not actually a sickness but symptoms of some sickness.
When you have high body temperature and decide to treat it instead of finding out what's giving you the headache or high temperature, if you like soak yourself inside water or cold room once you're out, the high temperature comes back immediately. This is why I said that overheating is not a fault.

We're gradually entering the period of overheating.
When your car overheats or even burn the top or top gasket dont be in a haste to replace the gasket without first finding out and fixing what caused the initial overheat else same thing will happen over and over till you do the right thing.
So many things can cause engine overheat.

Some of the causes of overheating includes the following.

1. Bad water pump
2. Fan (that fan is blowing doesn't mean it's working)
3. Clogged radiator
4. Radiator cover. (This one is the Chief of them all, i treated this as a topic sometimes ago so check my previous posts for details on this)
5. Bad/ weak engine oil
6. Gear not selecting well or driving with wrong gear.
7. Blocked exhust ( this one is their grand father, this one can even knock your engine in matter of hours. i've treated this with a video few weeks ago so check my previous posts for details on this)
8. Engine not steaming well/ high RPM
9. Misfiring
10. Thermostat failure
11. Faulty belt
12. Bad alternator
13. Low coolant level
14. Contaminated coolant
15. Your personal carelessness.
